2. What this website is
Our website and WhatsApp service let you find out about stock insurance, sign up, pay your monthly fee, view your Certificate of Insurance, view your shop report and lodge a claim. Vuleka arranges insurance cover for its members under the Vuleka SME Cover Master Group Scheme, underwritten by The Hollard Insurance Company Limited (FSP 17698), with riot and civil unrest cover provided through Sasria. Vuleka Distribution (Pty) Ltd is the Group Policyholder and Vuleka Platform (Pty) Ltd acts as broker and insurance intermediary. Proficient Solutions is the Binder Holder. You participate as a Covered Merchant; you do not have an individual Hollard policy.
3. Information, not advice
The content on this website, including our guides and blog posts, is general information. It is not financial advice tailored to your circumstances, and it is not legal or tax advice. Product details on the site are a summary. If there is a difference between this site and the Terms and Conditions of Cover, the Terms and Conditions of Cover apply.
4. Signing up
- You must be at least 18 and be the owner or authorised operator of the shop you are insuring.
- You must give us true and complete information, including your name, a selfie and photographs of the inside and outside of your shop.
- Foreign nationals are welcome. A South African ID is not required.
- Giving us false information may void your cover and any claim.
5. Your monthly fee and ending your membership
The monthly fee of R199 per month is payable monthly in advance. You can pay with Shop2Shop, Kazang, cash deposit or EFT. If the monthly fee is not received, cover may be suspended or ended in line with the Terms and Conditions of Cover. You can end your Vuleka membership at any time on WhatsApp. Your cover ends immediately once we confirm it on WhatsApp.
6. Claims
Claims are submitted on WhatsApp. Tell us as soon as reasonably possible and within 30 days of the incident. For theft, report it to SAPS immediately and obtain a police case number. For Sasria events, the incident must be reported to SAPS within 48 hours and you must obtain a police case number. You do not need to contact Hollard or Sasria yourself. Where Sasria is relevant, Vuleka will submit the claim to Sasria on your behalf. Once a claim is approved we aim to issue a stock voucher within 48 hours so you can buy replacement stock from a partner wholesaler. We cannot guarantee the 48 hour turnaround for Sasria claims. Approval, limits and exclusions are set out in the Terms and Conditions of Cover.
7. Your shop report and cover pages
Pages such as your shop report and Certificate of Insurance are generated from your trading data. Anyone with the link can open them, so treat the link as private. Figures shown are indicative and may lag behind live data.

We try to keep the service running but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, the FAIS Act or your cover.
