A copy of our FSP licence, showing the categories, subcategories and dates of authorisation, is available free of charge on request from info@vuleka.com. You can also confirm our approved products with the FSCA call centre on 0800 20 37 22.

3. Advice or intermediary services

Vuleka renders intermediary services only. We give you factual information about the product, help you apply on WhatsApp, collect your monthly fee and administer your claim. We do not give you advice as defined in FAIS, meaning we do not make a recommendation based on an analysis of your personal financial circumstances. You choose the product yourself on the basis of the product information we give you. If you need advice, speak to an authorised financial adviser.

4. Key individual, representatives and compliance officer

  • Key Individual: Nadia Kreft-Rossouw of NKR Attorneys Inc. (Practice Number F68845). Our Key Individual manages and oversees the financial services we render. Contact her at 082 529 8206 or nadia@nkrinc.co.za, or write to NKR Attorneys Inc., 5 Owl Street, Rant-en-Dal, Krugersdorp.
  • Representatives: the people who deal with you on WhatsApp act as our representatives. They render intermediary services only, within the categories on our licence. Some representatives work under supervision while completing their competency requirements. We keep a representative register and will confirm on request whether a specific person is authorised, and for what.
  • Compliance Officer: Géta Hancke of Moonstone Compliance. Contact T +27 21 883 8000, C +27 82 514 6512, email ghancke@moonstonecompliance.co.za, website www.moonstonecompliance.co.za. Address: 25 Quantum Street, Technopark, Stellenbosch, 7600.

Ask us for any of these details by emailing info@vuleka.com or calling 011 346 5233.

5. The product supplier

Vuleka arranges insurance cover for its members under the Vuleka SME Cover Master Group Scheme, underwritten by The Hollard Insurance Company Limited (FSP 17698), an authorised financial services provider and licensed insurer. Vuleka Distribution (Pty) Ltd is the Group Policyholder, Vuleka Platform (Pty) Ltd is the Broker and Insurance Intermediary, Hollard is the Insurer and Underwriter, and Proficient Solutions is the Binder Holder. You participate as a Covered Merchant under the Master Group Scheme. Your Certificate of Insurance confirms your participation; you do not hold a separate individual Hollard policy. Riot and civil unrest cover is provided through SASRIA SOC Ltd. Hollard carries the insurance risk and is responsible for paying valid claims. Vuleka administers your participation and handles your claim on your behalf.

6. Binder and outsourcing relationship

Vuleka acts for Hollard under a written agreement, alongside Proficient Solutions as Binder Holder. Where that agreement gives us binder functions, such as entering into or administering cover, determining participation fees or settling claims on Hollard's behalf, we perform those functions as agent of the insurer and not as your agent. We are paid a binder or outsourcing fee for that work, separately from any commission. The details of the binder functions we hold, and what we are paid for them, are available free of charge on request.

7. How we are paid

  • Commission on the Master Group Scheme, regulated and capped under the Short Term Insurance Act, paid to us by the insurer.
  • A binder or administration fee from the insurer for the cover and claims administration we perform.
  • Nothing extra from you beyond the monthly fee.

You may ask us at any time for the amount, or the basis of calculation, of everything we earn on your cover and we will tell you in writing.

8. More than 30 percent of income from one product supplier

The General Code of Conduct requires us to tell you if more than 30 percent of our total remuneration from financial services in the past year came from a single product supplier. Vuleka currently places its short term insurance business with one insurer, The Hollard Insurance Company Limited (FSP 17698), so more than 30 percent of our financial services remuneration comes from Hollard. We disclose this so you can weigh it up. We hold no ownership interest in Hollard, and Hollard holds no ownership interest of 10 percent or more in Vuleka.

9. Conflicts of interest

We maintain a conflict of interest policy, which you can read on our conflict of interest page and which is available free of charge on request.

10. Professional indemnity and fidelity cover

We hold professional indemnity and fidelity insurance in the name of Vuleka Platform (Pty) Ltd, on a claims made basis, that meets the minimum required for our licence category, and we keep it in force for as long as we are licensed.

  • Insurer: Lombard Insurance Company Limited (FSP 1596), underwritten by Leppard and Associates (Pty) Ltd (FSP 274).
  • Policy number: P51 028663.
  • Policy period: 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027, with a retroactive date of 1 August 2026.
  • Limit of indemnity: R1 000 000 for any one claim and in total for the policy period.
  • Deductible: R25 000.
  • Extensions include fidelity cover for third party money and property and for our own money and property, cyber third party liability, data and information costs, public liability, regulatory enquiry expenses, statutory defence costs and outsource agreement liability.

Written confirmation of cover is available free of charge on request from info@vuleka.com.

11. Premium collection and handling

The monthly fee is payable monthly in advance through our payment partners, including Shop2Shop, Kazang, or by cash deposit or EFT. Fees we collect are handled in terms of our agreement with Hollard and, where required, through a dedicated account used only for these fees. We never ask you to pay the monthly fee into a personal account, and we do not accept cash at our offices. You will get a WhatsApp confirmation of every payment we receive. If the monthly fee is not received, cover may be suspended or cancelled in line with the Terms and Conditions of Cover.

12. Your rights and important things you should know

  • Give us full and accurate information. Incorrect or incomplete information can lead to a claim being rejected or the policy being voided.
  • Read your terms and conditions of cover, in particular the limits, the maximum of two claims per year on each cover, and the exclusions.
  • You have a cooling off right. You may cancel within 14 days of receiving your Certificate of Insurance and disclosure documents, provided you have not claimed, and any monthly fee paid is refunded.
  • You may cancel at any time after that on WhatsApp, subject to the Terms and Conditions of Cover. Vuleka may also end your participation on 31 days written notice.
  • You will receive your Certificate of Insurance and this disclosure in writing, and you may ask for any document in a form you can keep.
  • Do not sign blank or partly completed forms. Keep a record of what you send us on WhatsApp.
  • We may not waive any right or obligation created by law, and nothing in our documents does so.

13. Complaints

Our internal complaints procedure, including how to lodge a complaint, our response times and how we record complaints, is set out on our complaints page. Complaining is free and will not affect your cover. If we have not resolved your complaint, or you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can escalate free of charge, generally within 6 months of our final response.

  • FAIS Ombud, for complaints about advice or intermediary service. PO Box 74571, Lynnwood Ridge, 0040. Telephone 012 762 5000 or 012 470 9080, email info@faisombud.co.za, website www.faisombud.co.za.
  • National Financial Ombud Scheme South Africa, for complaints about your cover or a claim. Telephone 0860 800 900, email info@nfosa.co.za, website www.nfosa.co.za.

14. Review of this notice

We review this disclosure notice at least once a year, and whenever our licence, our insurer, our remuneration arrangements or the law changes. The version on this page is the current one, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top.
